About Us

Founded in July 1990 by Dr. Scott D. Segal, a triple Board-Certified Psychiatrist, Compass Health Systems has grown to become Florida's largest private mental health treatment organization. In addition to Florida, Compass Health now has a national presence, in a total of 11 states: California, Colorado, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas.

Our clinics are staffed by multi-specialty teams led by Board-Certified Psychiatrists. Each team includes Psychiatrists, Primary Care Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Psychologists, Clinical Social Workers, Mental Health Therapists, Physician Assistants, and Certified Addiction Professionals, ensuring comprehensive care for our patients.

We provide a continuum of care through our partnerships with numerous inpatient facilities, our in-house pharmacy, MedzDirect, which specializes in compounded medications and offers free delivery services, and our dedicated Heroin/Opioid Treatment Center, Golden Glades Treatment Center. Our 34-bed detox and residential treatment center, South Beach Detox, complements these services. Additionally, we advance innovative treatments in Central Nervous System (CNS) and Women's Health through our sister company, Segal Trials.
