Job Title:                    Clinical Assistant                   

 

Position Summary:   The Clinical Assistant is responsible for assisting Compass physicians, as assigned, and providing a high level of customer service to all members.

​

Position Accountabilities:

 

  • Assist physicians with patient correspondence, dictations, evaluations, treatment forms, medical record keeping and any other necessary documentation.

  • Collaborate with office staff to ensure patients are seen in a timely professional manner by all members of staff.

  • Assist physicians with patient contacts, new evaluations and medication management follow ups.

  • Document all patient communications in computer and charts, as per Compass policy and procedures.

  • Assist physicians to access State Prescription Monitoring records to ensure patient safety and compliance.

  • Interface with clinicians and disseminate information on behalf of Compass.

  • Provide patients and all other members with a high level of customer service.

  • Answer telephone calls and direct patients to necessary resources.

  • Respond to emails and other inquiries, on behalf of Compass and physicians.

  • Provide patients with up to date information about additional care options and community resources as approved by Compass.

  • Assist corporate staff to monitor clinician on call schedules, advise Compass of clinician vacations, time off, schedule changes, monitor and assist with clinician inpatient and outpatient schedules, ensuring all clinicians are informed of their schedule commitments, assist Compass and Segal Institute with clinician coverage for vacations and time off, ensuring all facilities, staff and offices are advised of coverage changes/issues.

  • Promote and adhere to Compass policies and procedures. Assist in implementation of policies and procedures

  • Promote a safe therapeutic environment for all members.

  • Practice and promote HIPAA regulations and requirements at all times.

  • Attend internal meetings, training sessions, and presentations.

  • Perform administrative duties including faxing, photocopying, and filing.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Compass.

     

Job Specifications:

 Minimum Education: Bachelors in related subject

​

  • Answer telephones
